Rocky Mountain Vacation July 2004

Sun Peaks.

The last leg of our trip took us to Sun Peaks. Since we only had our XC bikes we rode around the bike park, not in it. This ride we were joined by Peter. We rode up the easy ski out 5Mile to the top of the Burfield chair.

Riding by ski runs is always interesting. Its amazing what you can ski but wouldn't even CONSIDER riding down!

We took a diversion into Tod Lake. The slopes surrounding this little lake looks like it would support some fine backcountry skiing!

Todd Lake. Lots of fish.

We took another diversion on the Juniper ridge, access to the Chief ski run/area. You can see the other ski runs in the background!

The Alpine Flowers were out in full force!
