Its June. The weather in Vancouver has been crap. Lee’s sister Sue was able to get a time share in Sedona and they had some space! So we headed on down!

The first day we drove to Flagstaff to take in some views.

Geology of the area. While it looks similar to Moab it is not.

We went to Snowbowl the ski area in Flagstaff. At 7000ft its nice and cool in the summer! Currently there was a fire in the area and all the trails around here were closed.

Our Kia Sedona Minivan!

Since we were in the US, especially in the SW we had to have Mexican food! Lee gorged of course.

The Drive down Oak Creek Scenic Drive Hwy 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff.

Now its time to do what we came here to do! We hooked up with John through MTBR the Renegade trail builder of the USA!

We rode Hangover Rock. We were joined by Dave Cichan who owns Fat Tire Bike Shop in Sedona. If you have a suspension question go ask this guy!

Sedona has incredible views, amazing slickrock interspersed with tough technical climbs.

Here’s me on one of them!

One of the first exposed sections of this ride.

The Agave trees/plants were in full form! Must of been wet down here now too!

John is showing us the line.

Dave is showing us his line! Can you see it?

The traversing exposed sidehill of Hangover.

Then it opens up for the descent.

Definitely a ride you have to do a few times to get the flow!

We go down now!

We ride back to Sedona and have a beer at Fat Tire Bike Shop.
