Selkirk Backcountry Lodge – Day 4 – Campion

Today the skies looked promising so we headed to the Alpine. Trailbreaking was deep, we could see lots of natural slides over on the Justice Glacier slopes. We had one good vis run down Campion bowl, it was still clear so we headed to Devine Col, near Devine Peak we got shut down and headed back to the trees.

Getting ready in the morning

Deb was going to try out the DPS skis AGAIN!

We go up.

Trail breaking was DEEP!

Naturals

On we go

Chillin’ in the sun at the top of Campion

Top of Campion col we head around to Campion bowl.

Top of Campion Bowl, Devine peak and Justice Glacier in the back

Good Pow!

Pano part way down the run, you can see Devine col and peak center right of picture.

Stopping for lunch to admire our tracks and Deb’s DPS’s!

We skin up to Devine Col, our tracks in the back.

Then the clouds roll in.

At the top of Devine peak we wait to see if the clouds clear. They don’t so we head back down to the Lodge

Some go for another tree run. Marco getting deep!

Some go back for Apres! Kelly makes her own crackers! Today we have assorted cheese and meat! Kevin looks pretty happy. Peter’s not sure what to choose! Deb’s just thinking about her DPS’s

Dave was walking in ski mode, even after the attempted repairs…

Another awesome dinner by Kelly at Backcountry Bistro
