Overview
Brian Head || Grafton DH and Guacamole || Thunder Mt and VRRT || Little Creek and Page Rim Trail || Santa Fe || White Pocket || Gooseberry Mesa || Ely, Nevada

In Oct 2021 on our hiking trip we drove the Alpine Scenic Hwy from American Fork to Hwy 189. This is often referred to as American Fork. We had awesome Fall Colours on this trip and were hoping to get the same, but Fall was late in Utah this year. We camped at Timpooneke Campground, site 24. Nice place to camp! There are lots of places to camp here, but one of the loops was closed when we first got here. It does get busy. It was also very cold at night as we were at 2300m. We also got yelled at for riding the road…

The first day we rode Salamander Flat, Willow Hollow, Horse Flat ( Where we hiked ) Snow Gauging. Fun Trails.15km, 603m Climbing.
The second day we rode with Gary on Salamander Flast, Willow Hollow, South Fork Little Deer Creek, Pine Hollow. 20km, 762m Climbing

After camping here for two nights, we drove to Richfield, ate lunch at Little Wonder Cafe, then met Wade and Allyson Sutton at the Richfield KOA. The next day Kent and Levie joined us for a shuttle on the complete Spinal Tap. The top part was destroyed by cows, unfortunately, the middle part was amazing as was the lower part. Not sure if its worth riding the upper part in the future as I’m sure the cows will prefer to walk on this trail…

Top of Shuttle – 2950m, Top of Middle Spinal Tap – 2370m, Top of Lower Spinal Tap – 2073m.
30km Ride, 200m Climbing, 1500m Descending.
